Trail-Rides
We pick you up from the airport and take you to your hotel. Our hotels are all convenient and every room is equipped with shower/toilet (ensuite). We look forward to welcoming you all and have our first evening meal together in the hotel.
Second day
We drive to Finca la Morisca, which is located approximately 10 KM north of "Alcala de Los Gazules", after breakfast. From here we start our trail, direction West. The landscapes character is panoramic and can be seen from many kilometres ahead long flanked by pastures. We are riding of never ending willow trees, sheep, goats and the famous Toros Bravos, Spanish black fighting bulls. Olive, cork and oak trees grow in this hilly and amazing green landscape, you can see huge grain and sunflower fields. We will reach "Santuario" for lunch, the pilgrimage church which can be visited after lunch. After our siesta we continue our ride towards "Benalup", where our horses will stay for this night. We drive to our hotel and meet at night for a collective evening meal and a great chat about a marvellous riding day.
Third day
We pack our luggage before we drive to the horses, Today, we move to another hotel, the beach hotel at "Zahara de Los Atunes". Our ride today will take us to the Atlantic Coast, cantering along open beaches. On this day we will be riding through the sunflower-rice willows. Storks and turtles will be seen as we finally reach the coast. We will have a special lunch today, wait and see and be surprised. Perhaps you want to go for a beach walk or have a bath in the hotel pool after we arrive. Feel free and enjoy yourself. (The horses will be very close this night)
Fourth day
We will ride along the fantastic Atlantic beach for the next two days and enjoy the endless length of coastline. Extended gallops along the beach leaves every rider with a higher heartbeat. Today we will ride past the harbour city "Barbate" towards the small fishing village "Los Canos de Meca". The steep coastline is offering an unforgettable view of the famous "Cape Trafalgar". You will feel the salty, fresh breeze and it is possible to see the coast of Africa if the view is clear. Marocco is very close. After lunch which is called "Almuerzo" in Spain, we are on our way to "Los Canos". This is where the stables are and our horses will stay overnight. Our transfer-minibus will wait for us and takes us to the hotel.
Fifth day
We will ride at the beautiful beach of "Costa de la Luz" (Coast of the sun) today. We will have lunch at the beach and the opportunity for a swim in the sea. We have to say good bye to the beach, our ride will take as through wonderful pine forest back to the stables. We will stop on our drive back to the hotel at a Bodega (wine cellar) for a sherry tasting. You will have the possibility to to buy very good and cheap cherry.
Sixth day
We have to pack our bags today, we will change our hotel again. Our ride will take us another time through hilly landscape along the willows of the bulls back to "Benalup". Our horses will stay overnight at a Finca, which is breeding bulls. You will have the opportunity to have a close look without being in danger. From here we will be taken back to our hotel.
Seventh day
It is sad, but this will be our last riding day. We will see green, hilly landscape on our way back to Finca la Morisca. There will be a few heights, from where we will enjoy a fantastic view of the province "Cadiz". Back at Finca la Morisca we will have a great final evening meal together. We are sure there we will be a great holiday spirit after the trail. Then, it is time to say good bye to our horses. Do you know that "Cadiz"is the oldest town of Europe? They tell the story that "Cadiz" was founded by Herkules.
Eight day
After breakfast, we will take you to the airport. (Arrangements can change)
We will ride Andalusian horses, which are famous for their beauty and strength in character, but also for their speed. We are certainly riding in spanish style, typical spanish saddles and spanish bridles.
